Church Centre

 

         

 

 

The Halls and Meeting Rooms at the Church are available for hire throughout the week including evenings and weekends for both business and recreational use.  St Mary's is a modern building and has full disabled access including entrance ramps, a lift, wide doorways etc.  There are separate male, female and disabled toilet facilities on both floors.  Both main Halls have kitchens for catering if required.

MINIMUM CHARGES

There will be a minimum charge of £25 per session Monday to Friday and £40 per session at weekends.

CANCELLATIONS

A full charge cancellation fee will be levied should a cancellation be made within 3 working days of the booking time.  A 50% fee (minimum £25) will be charged should a cancellation be made within 1 working week.  A 25% fee (minimum £20) will be made for other cancellations.

DEPOSITS

In certain circumstances a deposit will be required in advance and will be refundable following inspection of premises.  For the Halls or Church this is £25.  For the meeting rooms this is £15.

Any damage or breakages will be charged in full together with any handling costs irrespective of any deposit paid.

 

 

CONDITIONS OF HIRE

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in any part of the building, nor in the area immediately outside the front door at the top of the entrance steps.

Fire

All fire exits must be kept clear at all times.  Fire doors must not be propped open.

Loss and Injury

No person connected with the Church can be held responsible for any loss or injury to persons using the building.

Damage & Breakages

All damage and breakages must be reported.  Charges for any damage or breakages including handling costs will be invoiced.

On Leaving

The building should be left clean and tidy and any furniture that has been used should be returned to its original position.  Check all doors (including fire exits) and windows are closed and locked.

Alcohol

If alcohol is to be sold at a function, then documentary evidence of a Justices Licence must be given to the Centre Administrator not less than 24 hours before the event.  The Centre Administrator will also require written notice of the name of the person in charge, in accordance with paragraph 5 of the Justices conditions.

Booking Times

The rooms will only be open at the times booked.  It is important to allow for setting out and clearing up when working out how much time you require.  If the booking overruns by more than 15 minutes an extra hour will be charged.

 

The charges and conditions are effective from 1st January 2007.
